Synopsis: There's nothing like a championship team to win a boy's heart. As prophesied by João Saldanha, the emblematic soccer coach, young Heleno de Freitas fell in love with the Botafogo team as soon as he moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1933. Later on, already a player, he was carried in victory by his own teammates in an unprecedented scene. Heleno (Rodrigo Santoro) was a forerunner in many ways, a glamorous athlete who circulated around Rio de Janeiro in the 1940s like a veritable prince of elegance. He also played overseas at a time when Brazilian soccer was anything but wealthy. But the career of the first great national soccer idol was about to suffer a tragic and unexpected twist. With cinematography by Walter Carvalho, "Heleno" is set for commercial release in the second half of 2011.
