I'm a Dancer

Associado: Olhar Feminino

The film reflects on the importance of dance through the testimony of Brazilian choreographer Ciro Barcelos and his relationship with the master of choreography, the American, Lennie Dale, showing important moments of the group Dzi Croquetes, when performing in Paris. Dzi Croquetes were famous by the fusion of Afro-Brazilian sacred dance, Umbanda and Candomblé, and Contemporary Dance. The film is created in a mixture of dance, music, choreographies that incorporate myths as Carmem Miranda and Judy Garland, and dance lessons given by Lennie Dale to slum communities such as Rocinha favela.
